This I’ve learned…
I’ve learned how to worship the sun because of the soggy arctic jungle of the Alaskan wilderness, contrast from the vitamin d enriched blazing fire of 9000 feet, lighting the mountains of Colorado.
I’ve learned how to bathe in the moonlight while it rises from the eastern seaside as the waters warm my chilled hairless coat of tanned leather. It took everything from me to get here.
I’ve learned how to dance in the rain even when it takes down a mountain pushing me into her bigger body, sailing nomadically to the other side for rest and reset.
I’ve learned how to howl in the wind, every second of the month, hallowed vocals responding to the vibration of our community’s trauma – healing the whole while it tore us up.
I’ve learned how to move like a stealthy black jaguar shapeshifting the night, my guided teacher walks this path, imprinting wisdom as if it was paved with gold. I trip, again, I rise.
I’ve learned how to make love with the moment that is never on time, side swiped into oblivion only to return with a shift of my spine. Adjusting my perspective, but this time I’m in my body.
I’ve learned how to sanction my power by not giving away my attention. It deserves me, wholly and holy. I am not segregated into personalities, I’m beyond the density of that weight. Gravity need not apply. Powerful enough to move planets.
I’ve learned how to trust, by allowing everything to exist. No need for brand name stickers labeled “good” or “bad”, I’m not in 3rd grade, for it all deserves a gold star. This is my education.
I’ve learned how to let it be whatever it is. When it crumbles, I won’t pick it up. It serves the floor that I fell on – puddled in my salty sea full of tears drinking the magnesium to power my mermaid fin to swim deeper into this.
I’ve learned how to listen, so precisely that there is no sound. Above and quicker than time can travel, I listen to consciousness play itself out within time and space. I take note.
I’ve learned how to not reach for the finish line. This journey of learning about consciousness isn’t the means to an end, rather it’s a gathering of a continuation. Just like life, there is no start, no end, just this in-between. Body is optional.
School, just like church doesn’t need 4 walls,
