A monologue of how to live in Alaska, beyond survival. A poetic awakening of how the ‘Mountain Moved Me’.

————————————————————————————–

Where do I belong when all I wanted was here? But ‘here’ showed me belonging is wherever I am. Not a place, nor space, wherever here is, I belong.

The Mountain Moved Me….

Just when I thought we were complete.

Life became alive, shockingly awake as if in my past I was only pretending.

How little we see in the great state of the super-natural world.

Beauty saturates our senses, but can we see the reflection inward?

The Mountain Moved Me… into be-ing an Alaskan.

One who can hear my life’s calling and that might be of some distance.

To dance with the transcendence of the moment in uncharted waters.

To bring in the tides of sea wolves, rising with the wave of which I created within my own movement.

The mountain moved me…
Beyond my desires, awakening my higher needs.

Beyond my prepared survivalist mentality of leaning on no-one.

Beyond my independent nature and responsibility for self.

The Mountain Moved Me…

To give myself expansion when all I wanted to do was stabilize.

Pop goes the bubble, out spills everything I once identified with.

Who am I without a home?

To get here is adventurous.

To leave here is brave.

What else could exist beyond this heaven?

We broke down, again and again.

Down on our knees in despair, tormented by the recurring energy of trauma.
Times 4, we were saved.

Turns out you’re magically imprinted in Haines, Alaska and she wants you to expand with her.

She wants you to see her, beyond her beauty.

She never intended you to stay huddled into her womb.

“Grow beyond me, take me places.

Share my strengths of small town wonders”, she bellows through the wind.

“I am your mother, forever and ever you are part of me.

Take all I’ve offered and offer it to another.

How I fed you, feed another. The unending Light, Rain, Salmon & Awareness.

How I called you to discover your strength beyond a solo experience.

You know it’s lonely to win it alone. Climb that mountain and help up those along the way.

How I let you go, to grow, no matter how much you wanted to stay.

I know you, and soon you will too.

Because the world needs you and everything I’ve given is to be given again.

So fly the nest because you know I will always be your home wherever you go.”

And now I know why the mountain moved me!

The mountain moved me beyond comparison – a form of a reality tv show, though this time, I’m filming while watching my own. 3..2..1..

The mountain moved me from being busy to ‘living on purpose’.
